Expectations of Participants

We want SIMC2.0 to foster international friendships, promote mutual respect, and encourage cultural exchange. Students and staff participating in SIMC2.0 are ambassadors of their institutions and should conduct themselves with decorum.

As the Endeavour track of SIMC2.0 is a residential event involving more than 120 students from 28 countries and regions, it is important that all participants adhere to the rules and guidelines of the event to ensure a pleasant experience and safe environment for everyone.

Safety and Security

1.1

Participants are personally responsible for their safety, well-being, and belongings. They should avoid actions that pose unnecessary risks to themselves or others.

1.2

Participants must commit to attending and participating fully in the stipulated programme throughout the event. They should not leave before the completion of the event except under exceptional circumstances.

1.3

Students should inform their teacher and the organisers if they are feeling unwell. Participants should bring along and declare any necessary medication for pre-existing medical conditions. The organisers will not dispense medication.

1.4

Participants should not approach the Student Programme Liaisons (SPLs) to engage in activities beyond the official programme, such as sightseeing or ordering food from external sources.

Decorum and Discipline

2.1

Smoking, the use of e-vaporisers, consumption of alcohol and drugs, possession or use of weapons, and gambling are strictly prohibited.

The import, use, or possession of controlled drugs and e-vaporisers, including any of their components, is strictly prohibited by law in Singapore.

2.2

Participants should show respect to all organisers, teachers, student volunteers, and fellow participants. Any form of verbal or physical abuse will not be tolerated, including inconsiderate or insensitive language or misuse of social media.

2.3

Participants should adhere to the attire and dress code stated in the Programme section of the information booklet. They should be decently and appropriately attired for all activities.

2.4

Punctuality is both good practice and a form of courtesy and respect to others. Participants should be punctual for all activities.

Note: Should a serious offence occur, the organisers reserve the right to disqualify the participating school from the event.
